KERRVILLE, TX: The Schreiner University Women's Soccer team lost their home conference match against the University of St. Thomas 2-1.
The Mountaineers were at home for their Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) matchup against the Celts from the University of St. Thomas.
Unfortunately, Schreiner would close out their home schedule with a 2-1 SCAC loss to the Celts.
The University of St. Thomas would open the match by scoring he first two goals of the day in the 46th and 62nd minutes of play. However, the Mountaineers showed a late surge as they scored a goal of their own in 84th minute as a corner kick from Natalee Talley found Abigail Rocha for a header that would bring the deficit down to just one goal with six minutes left to play. Unfortunately, it would be too little too late for Schreiner as the match came to a conclusion with a final score of 2-1.
Up next, the Mountaineers will head to San Antonio, Texas, to close out their regular season as they continue conference (SCAC) play with a matchup against the Tigers from Trinity University.
