Women’s Basketball Falls to University of St. Thomas 66-65

KERRVILLE, TX: The Schreiner University Women's Basketball team lost their road conference game against the University of St. Thomas 66-65.

The Mountaineers traveled to Houston, Texas, for their road Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) matchup against the Celts from the University of St. Thomas.

Schreiner fell to 9-16 overall and 8-8 in SCAC play after closing out the regular season with a loss to the Celts.

Leading the scoring effort for the Mountaineers was Nariyah Buggs (Junior / Round Rock, TX) who finished with 26 points on 10-17 shooting from the field and 4-8 shooting from the three-point line.

With the loss, the Mountaineers will now enter the 2024 SCAC Women's Basketball Championship as the 4-seed, where they will meet the Kangaroos from Austin College in the opening round.
