KERRVILLE, TX: The Schreiner University Women's Basketball team lost their home conference game against Trinity University 63-58.

The Mountaineers were at home for their Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) matchup against the Tigers from Trinity University.

Schreiner fell to 7-15 overall and 6-7 in SCAC play after dropping a close back-and-forth battle in what would be their second straight loss to the Tigers this season. The Mountaineers now sit at 5th in the SCAC Women's Basketball standings with just three regular season games left to play as they battle for a return to the SCAC Women's Basketball Championship in which only the top six teams in the conference recieve an invite.

Pacing the offense for the Mountaineers was Demauria Miles (Junior / Dallas, TX) who led the way with 18 points, while also grabbing 6 rebounds, dishing out 2 assists, and forcing 2 steals. The effort from Miles allowed Schreiner to keep the game within striking distance down the stretch with multiple chances to tie or get the upset win. However, the Tigers would hold on in the end and retain their spot as the #1 team in the SCAC standings.
