Edgar Torres joined the Schreiner University coaching staff after spending the 2017-2019 seasons with Howard Payne University in Brownwood, Texas. Edgar, a native of San Antonio, Texas, earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Howard Payne in December 2017 in Kinesiology. In his time as a student-athlete at Howard Payne, Edgar was a four-year letter-winner for the Yellow Jackets Men's Tennis team and received The Yellow Jacket of the Year award in 2016 & 2017. Edgar is currently continuing his education at Schreiner University where he is working on earning a Master’s Degree in Business Administration in August 2021.

Coach Torres will be entering into his third season coaching at Schreiner University under Head Coach Jacob Carrillo.
