KERRVILLE, TX: The Schreiner University Men's Basketball team lost their road conference game against Colorado College 77-76.

The Mountaineers traveled to Colorado Springs, Colorado, for their road Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference matchup against the Tigers from Colorado College.

Unfortunately, it was another heart-breaker for the Schreiner Men's Basketball team on the road as they lost their second consecutive SCAC game by just one point (Schreiner 81 - Trinity 82).

Schreiner would take a two point lead into halftime after a strong first half effort from junior guard, Dylan Mackey, who led both sides with 9 points on 3-7 shooting from the field. However, as the second half got underway, the Tigers would regain their footing as they closed out the game outscoring the Mountaineers 41-38 after a close back-and-forth battle from both sides, ultimately winning the game 77-76.

Despite the loss, it was still an impressive showing from junior center, Kamden Ross, who finished with a game-high 24 points, as well as 9 rebounds and 2 steals. Also with a strong overall performance was Dylan Mackey who finished with 15 points, 9 assists, and 3 steals, and Cristian Rodriguez who finished with 11 points and 7 rebounds.

The loss for Schreiner Men's Basketball now moves their season record to 9-6 (4-2 SCAC).

Up next, the Mountaineers will return home as they continue SCAC play with a matchup against the Gents from Centenary College.
