Men's Basketball Opens Season at Home Against UMHB

KERRVILLE, TEXAS: The Mountaineers hosted the Crusaders of the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor for a non-conference game on Thursday evening for their season opener. Schreiner fell to the Crusaders 64-83.

SCORING: Schreiner took the lead for the first nine minutes of the game. The teams were close with UMHB up 36-31 over the Mountaineers at half-time. Matthew Rindahl led the team in total points with ten, with Josiah Lanier close behind with eight. Schreiner shot 32% from the field and was 9-26 from three-point range. 

In an interview with Head Coach Connor Kuykendall "Our motto has been the past few years and will continue to be this year we have to go one game at a time, one day at a time."

Student, Andrew Castaneda completed the half-time competition, and won free room for a single semester!
