KERRVILLE, Texas -- The Mountaineers hosted the McMurry Warhawks in the season opener. McMurry won 8-4.
Austin Contreras, Sam Pistrui, Kyle Baird, and Miguel Quinones scored for the Mountaineers. Caleb Allen, Austin Contreras, and Nick Gutierrez pitched for the team.
The Mountaineers will continue their 3-game series with the Warhawks on Saturday for a double header starting at noon.
