Roy Kiser was named an assistant coach for Schreiner University Men's Basketball program in July, 2025.
Before joining the Mountaineers, Kiser spent 34 years in public education. He has coached in Hobbs, NM, Abilene, TX, head coach in Paradise, TX and head coach at Burnet High School from 2003 until his retirement in May of 2025.
A native of Abilene, Kiser graduated from Abilene High School in 1986 and went on to play basketball and earn his Bachelor’s degree in Education from Hardin-Simmons University in 1991.
Kiser is married to his wife Gina; who is the Librarian at Burnet Middle School. They have three sons, who all played on conference championship teams during their respective college careers. Derek, an Orthopedic PA is married to Shelby and they have two children. Drew, is a mortgage Loan Officer, married to Paris and they have one daughter. Luke, is the Graduate Assistant for the men’s basketball team at the University of Texas at Dallas.
