Caitlin Connor Royer, originally from Winnfield, Louisiana, is a distinguished athlete and coach with an impressive career in competitive shooting. A passionate member of the USA Shooting Women's Skeet Team since 2007, Caitlin has traveled the globe representing Team USA and achieving remarkable success. Over the years, she has earned multiple national, World Cup, and World Championship titles. Her ultimate aspiration is to secure a spot on the U.S. Olympic Team in Women’s Skeet.
Caitlin's educational journey is marked by excellence. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology/Criminology from Louisiana State University (2016) and advanced degrees from DeVry University, including a Master of Public Administration (MPA) with a concentration in Government Management (2020) and an MBA (2021).
In addition to her competitive success, Caitlin has a strong background in coaching. Since 2018, she has served as an assistant Junior Team coach for USA Shooting, contributing to training camps, National Championships, Junior World Cups, and World Championships. From 2021 to 2024, she was the assistant shotgun coach at Hillsdale College in Michigan.
Outside of shooting, Caitlin enjoys spending time in the outdoors, participating in activities like hunting and fishing, with a special love for pheasant hunting in South Dakota. She’s also an avid traveler, having visited over 22 countries, and is eager to explore even more cultures and cuisines.
Caitlin is married to Dale Royer, a competitor in International "Bunker" Trap with USA Shooting, whom she met at a World Cup event in Acapulco, Mexico. They share their home with two dogs: Annie, a 6-year-old Chocolate Labrador, and Coco, a 7-month-old Boykin Spaniel
