Men's Soccer Defeats Austin College 4-3

KERRVILLE, TX: The Schreiner University Men's Soccer team won their conference match against Austin College 4-3.

It was a strong showing for the Mountaineers out in Sherman, Texas, as they defeated the Kangaroos from Austin College with an impressive four goals scored.

It was junior, Zaaron Gonzalez who got thing started for Schreiner with his first goal scored in the 15th minute of the match with an assist from Frankie Menchaca. However, that wasn't it for Gonzalez as he then went on to score another goal in the 36th minute off another assist from Menchaca.

With both teams trading goals throughout the match, it was Dylan Blough who would then come up with a clutch goal for the Mountaineers in the 65th minute, tying the match 3-3.

Finally, as the final minutes of the match ticked away, junior, Iseah Hernandez, came to the rescue for Schreiner, scoring the match winner in the 77th minute.

Up next, the Schreiner Men's Soccer team will remain on the road as they now head to Irving, Texas, for a conference match against the University of Dallas.
