KERRVILLE, TX: The Schreiner University Men's Golf team finished in 4th place at their season opening tournament, the John Bohmann Memorial Invitational, hosted by Texas Lutheran University.
The top individual finisher for Schreiner was Zhao Yung Gu who finished tied for 14th with a total score of 149 (77, 72). Also with a strong performance was Jake Sitterle who finished 18th with a total score of 150 (77, 73), Austin O'Brien who finished 29th with a total score of 154 (78, 76), and John Martinez who finished tied for 30th with a total score of 155 (75, 80).
All together, the Mountaineers finished in 4th place, out of 10 teams, with a total score of 601.
Up next, Schreiner Men's Golf will remain on the road as they head out to Redlands, California, to compete in the Bulldog Fall Invitational on September 18th.
