KERRVILLE, TX: The Schreiner University Men's and Women's Track & Field teams traveled to Seguin, Texas, this past weekend to compete in the D3 Challenge hosted by Texas Lutheran University.
It was another strong showing for the Mountaineers in their second competition of the season as they recorded 8 new school records throughout the day.
- 4x100 - Josh Hollis-Roberts/Ryan Dobbs/Dylan Mackey/Bronson Evans (45.73)
- 400m - Darian Gibson (51.87 (8th))
- Discus - Kevin Fernandez (105'10")
- 400m - Elisa Peralta (1:05.96 (7th))
- 400 Hurdles - Elisa Peralta (1:17.75)
- 200m - Melissa Landon (26.89 (8th))
- High Jump - Nariyah Buggs (5'1" (4th))
- Triple Jump - Gabby Ivarra (35'1/2" (7th))
Aslo with strong performances in their respective events was Sarah Endres who won the 5k with a time of 20:51, Tristan Salinas who finished in 2nd in the 5k with a time of 16:55, and Marco Hernandez who finished in 3rd in the 3k Steeplechase with a time of 11:52.
Up next, the Mountaineers will remain on the road as they compete in OLLU Last Chance Meet.
