KERRVILLE, TX: The Schreiner University Baseball team split their double-header against LeTourneau University this evening 5-2; 8-3.
In th first game of their double-header, the Mountaineers defeated LeTourneau University 5-2.
Leading the offense was Devin Hooper who went 2-3 at the plate and recorded a double and an RBI. Also with a strong hitting performance was Gerardo cardoza (Double, RBI), and AJ Rodriguez (Double, RBI).
On the defensive side, it was Apollo Cassimatis who lead the way on the mound as he only gave up 2 runs on the day and picked up his 3rd win of the season (3-1).
In their second game of the double-header, the Mountaineers fell to LeTourneau University 8-3.
Leading the offense for Schreiner was Aaron Recio who went 2-2 at the plate and recorded an RBI.
Up next, the Mountaineers will remain at home as they finish their three game series against LeTourneau University tomorrow afternoon.
