Track & Field Competes at Trinity Invitational

KERRVILLE, TX: The Schreiner University Track & Field team opened their season this weekend in San Antonio, Texas, at the Trinity Invitational.

Schreiner might not have won the event, but it was still a great weekend for them as they broke ten school records over the weekend.

Manny Coya set a new school record in the 400m dash with a time of 52.56. Ernest Reyna set a new school record in Discus with a throw of 103'3". The 4x100m relay team of Josh Hollis-Roberts, Kyle Dietert, Daniel Zepeda, and Xavier Enriquez set a new school record with a time of 45.95. Fatima Rodriquez set a new school record in the 400m dash with a time of 1:13.65. Macie Malone set a new school record in Javeline with a throw of 69'9". and Sarah Endres came in 4th place out of all Division III schools in the 500m with a time of 20:31.56.

Up next, the Mountaineers will remain on the road as they get ready to compete in the OLLU West Side Relays in San Antonio, Texas.
