KERRVILLE, TX: The Schreiner University Men's Basketball team won their game against Austin College this evening 72-71.
It was an electric finish in the Stephens Family Arena this evening as the Mountaineers rallied back from a 10+ point deficit in the second hald and went on to win the game with an incredible buzzer beating shot from freshman Jalen Ned as the game clock expired!
This was Schreiner's 4th consecutive win in a row as they have now put togther another winning streak and currently sit 3rd in the SCAC.
Leading the way for the Mountaineers was Bronson Evans who finished with 22 points (season high) and 7 rebounds. Also contributing was Dylan Mackey (17 PTS, 4 REB, 2 AST, 2 STL), Alex Dehoyos (14 PTS, 6 REB, 4 STL, 3 AST), and Jalen Ned (8 PTS, 6 REB, 2 AST, 2 STL).
Up next, the Mountaineers will head back out on the road to take on the University of Dallas.
