KERRVILLE, TX: The Schreiner University Men's Wrestling team competed in the University of Dubuque Duals this past weekend. The Duals consisted of team from Schreiner University, the University of Dubuque, Milwaukee School of Engineering, and Wabash College.
Unfortunately, the Mountaineers did not get the results they were looking for in this one as they fell in all three duals over the weekend.
In their first match, the Mountaineers lost to the University of Dubuque 44-6. Picking up individual wins for Schreiner was Petey Lozano (141) who defeated Caleb Shimaoka and James Yarbro (149) who defeated Richard Diaz, both winning by decision.
In their second match, the Mountaineers lost to Milwaukee School of Engineering 35-15. This time, picking up points for Schreiner with individual wins was Nick Hammond (174) who won by forfeit and Joha Anderson (184) who defeated Chris Botzoc by way for decision.
In their third and final match of the weekend, the Mountaineers lost to Wabash College 55-0.
