KERRVILLE, TX: The Schreiner University Men's Wrestling team traveled to Clarksville, Arkansas, to compete in the Eagle Quad match this past weekend. The match consisted of teams from Schreiner University, the University of the Ozarks, Emory & Henry College, and Fontbonne University.
It was a very strong showing for the Mountaineers as they finished the weekend 2-1 after picking up wins against Fontbonne University and Emory & Henry College.
In their match against Fontbonne University, the Mountaineers defeated the Griffins 26-12 and secured their first victory as a NCAA Division III program!
Similarly, in their match against Emory & Henry College, Schreiner once again dominated their opponent with a 33-12 victory. It should also be noted that Emory & Henry College is a Divison II program, thus making the Mountaineers' victory all that much more impressive.

This was a great bounce back performance for the Mountaineers who will now look to build off of this success as their season progresses.
