KERRVILLE, TX: The Schreiner University Men's and Women's Cross Country teams host a 5K dual meet this morning against Sul Ross State University.
The meet took place on the campus of Schreiner University with a track that looped all throughout campus. Both the Men's team and the Women's team performed well in this one, with both teams having five runners finish in the top 6. For the Women's team, it was none other than Sarah Endres leading the pack. Endres once again finished with top time, finishing with a first place time of 20:14:4. Following Sarah Endres was Lanie Douget in third place (23:10:3), Elisa Peralta in fourth place (23:10:5), Fatima Rodriguez in fifth place (24:12:1), and Kelsey Bishop in sixth place (24:15:7).
For the Men's team, this time is was Tristan Salinas leading the way for the Mountaineers. Salinas finished with a first place time of 17:38:7. Following Salinas was Marco Hernandez in third place (17:50:5), Daniel Zepeda in fourth place (18:06:7), Xavier Enriquez in fifth place (18:54:1), and Jacoby Sanchez in sixth place (18:54:1).
This was a great tune up race for the Mountaineers has they now gear up to compete in the SCAC Championship on October 30th in San Antonio, Texas!
