KERRVILLE, TX: The Schreiner University Women's Golf team hosted/competed in the Queen of the Hill Country Classic on Monday & Tuesday, held at the Buckhorn Golf Course in Comfort, TX.
The event was hosted by Schreiner University and included teams from the University of St. Thomas, Concordia University, Our Lady of the Lake University, and Schreiner University. The Mountaineers were not able to win the tournament, as Our Lady of the Lake put together a very strong performance, but they did have a good showing as a team. The Schreiner Women's Golf team finished with a total score of 704 after two rounds, and were lead by freshman Shelby Vetere who finished tied for 18th place with a final score of 169.
Up next, the Mountaineers will travel to San Antonio, TX, to compete in the Alamo City Golf Classic at the Quarry Golf Course, hosted by Trinity University.
