Rifle Honored With 2021 MAC Championship Banner

KERRVILLE, TX: The Schreiner University Rifle team was honored on Tuesday for their 2021 MAC Championship with a banner that will now hang in the Event Center.

At the end of the second set of Tuesday's Schreiner Volleyball home opener, the Schreiner University Rifle team was brought out to center court for a special championship banner presentation. The championship banner was presented to the Rifle team by Schreiner University President Dr. Charlie McCormick and Dean of Students Dr. Charlie Hueber.

"Ladies and Gentlemen, please direct your attention to the far side of the court as we would like to make a special presentation. In only their second season, the Schreiner University Precision Air Rifle team won the 2021 Mid-Atlantic Conference Championship with a score of 2,328 points. The team out paced the US Coast Guard Academy to win the Championship. The high scorers for the team were FY Will Baker with a score of 590 out of 600, followed by FY Samantha Albiniano with 582 points and FY Justin Casteel with 582 points.

At this time, we would like to recognize the members of the 2021-2022 Precision Air Rifle Team. Samantha Albiniano, William Baker, Justin Casteel, Shannon Coagadon, Armando Guevara, Jordan Harris, Madison Lobre, Jonathan Merecka, Jacob Patterson, Norie Ramirez, Trevor Sanders , Kiersten Shaefer, Cody Teague and Head Coach Lance Little.

As recognition for winning the 2021 MAC Precision Air Rifle Championship, Schreiner University President Dr Charlie McCormick and Dean of Students, Dr Charlie Hueber will present the Championship Banner that will be hung in the Event Center to commemorate this team and their accomplishments."

We are incredibly proud of the Schreiner University Precision Air Rifle Team's performance and believe that this will be the first of many banners hung by the team moving forward!
