KERRVILLE, TX: This past weekend the Shotgun Sports team participated in the ACUI National Championships in San Antonio where they shot 4 events over 3 days. They ended up Runner-Up in Team High Overall in Division 1 breaking 1406 targets. HOA consisted of 3 events American Skeet, American Trap and Sporting Clays taking the top 5 scores from each team.
American Skeet: Jacob Cameron – 100, Brendan Eaglen – 98, Will Perry – 98, Louis Oviedo II – 98, Keaton Sharp – 97 Team score: 491/500
American Trap: Cory Hays – 100, Jacob Cameron – 99, Jenna Ziemelis – 98, Bridget Bearden – 98, Brendan Eaglen – 98 Team Score 493/500
Sporting Clays: Garrett Lejeune – 95, Jacob Cameron – 86, Jonathan Goedrich – 85, Cory Hays – 79, Brandon Miller – 77 Team Score 422/500
In American Trap, the team tied for 1st place in Division 1 in American Trap with 2 other teams with 493's. In Sporting Clays, the team finished 2nd with a 422. In American Skeet, the team finished in 3rd place in Division 1 with the 491. The Super Sporting was a side event not included in the High Overall but most teams competed in it. The Mountaineers shot a 458/500 earning 1st place in Division 1. Team members were Garrett Lejeune – 94, Jacob Cameron – 93, Jacob Follmer – 92, Will Perry – 91, Brendan Eaglen – 88
The Mountaineers finished with a substantial list of individual merits as well.
