Gary Hampton will be entering his first year as assistant coach at Schreiner University. Coach Hampton has been coaching basketball for four years. Most recently Coach Lewis served as the assistant coach at St. Dominic Savio Catholic High School. Before coaching at Savio, Coach Hampton served three years as a volunteer basketball assistant coach at Southwestern University in Georgetown, TX.
Before beginning his coaching career, Coach Hampton played one year of collegiate basketball at Mid America Christian University, where they won the NCCAA Div II National Championship in 2004.
He graduated from the University of North Texas in May 2013 with a bachelor’s degree in Applied Technology and Performance Improvement and received his master’s degree in Education in May 2018.
