KERRVILLE, TX: Danielle Pedraza of Schreiner University Softball, a senior outfielder from San Antonio, Texas, has been named the SCAC Softball Hitter-of-the-Week for games played from Monday, March 26 through Sunday, April 2.

Pedraza exploded at the plate last week, leading Schreiner to an impressive 4-1 record highlighted by an SCAC sweep on the road at Dallas. She batted .471, going 8-for-18, including a blistering .545 in SCAC play. Pedraza recorded a hit in all five contests, including a three-hit performance in the series opener against the Crusaders. All 10 of her RBI came against Dallas and she finished the week with five runs scored, three doubles, one home run and a .824 slugging percentage.
