Softball Sweeps University of Dallas

KERRVILLE, TX: The Schreiner University Softball team swept their three game conference series against the University of Dallas; 19-5, 10-5, 4-2.

The Mountaineers traveled to Irving, Texas, for their three game SCAC series against the Crusaders from the University of Dallas.

GAME 1 (SCH 19 - UD 5)

The Mountaineers opened up the series on fire as they put up their highest run total of the season. Senior, Danielle Pedraza, continued her hot hitting streak with a 3-4 performance at the plate, hghlighted by a Home Run, two Doubles, and 5 RBI. Also with a strong hitting performance was Kendall Lippold who went 2-4 with a Double and 3 RBI, and Haley Pair who went 3-4 with a Double and an RBI.

In the circle, it was freshman Ky Kusak who would be credited with the win, moving her season record to 7-5, and Trysten Liesman who would be credited with the save, her first of the season.

GAME 2 (SCH 10 - UD 5)

In the second game of the series, the Mountaineers continued their impressive production at the plate. Freshman, Kendall Lippold, led the way by going 2-3 with 2 Doubles and an RBI. Also with strong performances was Malorie Solis who went 3-4, Hannah Kollmansberger who went 1-3 with a Double and 2 RBI, Danielle Pedraza who finished with 2 RBI, and Tacy Tatum who went 1-3 with a Double and an RBI.

In the circle, it was Kaedyn Filburn who was credited with the win, moving her season record to 1-3.

GAME 3 (SCH 4 - 2 UD)

The final game of the series was the closest out of the three games, but in the end, the Mountaineers still came away with the win. Capping off her strong performance on the road was senior, Danielle Pedraza, who led the way by going 2-4 with a Double and 3 RBI. Also with a strong hitting performance was Kendall Lippold who went 2-4 with a Double, Malori Solis who recorded a Double, and Laci Silva who went 2-3 with a Triple (her first of the season).

In the circle, it was Amanda Pollock who would be credited with the win, moving her season record to 3-2.
