KERRVILLE, TX: The Schreiner University Women's Basketball team fell in the semifinal round of the SCAC Women's Basketball Championship to Colorado College 60-56.

The Mountaineers were in San Antonio, Texas, for the Semifinal round of the SCAC Women's Basketball Championship as they took on the Tigers from Colorado College.

It was a close first half of play as both teams went into the break tied 28-28. However, the 4th quarter would end up being the difference maker for the Tigers as they outscored the Mountaineers 19-13 and went on to win the game 60-56.

Despite the loss, it was still a very strong showing for sophomore guard, Demauria Miles, who closed out her season with an impressive 17 point scoring performance, as well as tallying 6 rebounds, 4 assists, and 2 steals. Also with a strong finish to her sophomore season was point guard, Elisa Peralta, who finished with 13 points, 3 assists, 2 rebounds, and 1 steal.

It wasn't the overall outcome that the Mountaineers were looking for, but they can still be proud of the impressive season that they put together. The Schreiner University Women's Basketball team finished with 12 conference wins (beating their conference win total from last season), took down a NCAA DII opponent in the University of St. Mary's, had the SCAC Women's Basketball leading scorer (Demauria Miles), and entered the SCAC Women's Basketball Championship as the #3 Seed.
