KERRVILLE, TX: The Schreiner University Men's Wrestling team traveled to Witchita, Kansas, to compete in the Falcon Invitational at Friends University.
At the Falcon Invitational, the Mountaineers were led by freshmen, Austin Hartmengruber (174) and Zach Casias (149). Both wrestlers had outstanding debuts wreslting all the way to the consolation finals. Hartmangruber came very close to winning his semifinal match and heading to the finals, but one decision with 18 seconds remaining cost him. However, Hartmangruber did bounce back with two more wins and finished 5-1.
