KERRVILLE, TX: The Schreiner University Volleyball team lost their conference match against Texas Lutheran University 3-1.
The Mountaineers traveled to Colorado Springs, Colorado, this weekend to play three neutral site matches at Colorado College. In their first match, Schreiner fell to Texas Lutheran University 3-1. After dropping the first two sets, the Mountaineers were able to bounce back and take set three. However, that would be the only set they would get, as the Bulldogs went on to win set four.
The box score standouts for the Mountaineers were seniors, Brooke Byer and Kayla Lofland, as they both finished with double-digit kills. Byer finished with 15 kills on 50 attempts and Lofland finished with 13 kills on 54 attempts. Also with a strong performance was junior, Mia Moreno, who finished with 48 assists.
Up next, the Mountaineers will remain in Colorado Springs as they get set to take on Southwestern University.
