KERRVILLE, TX: Audrey Rivera of Schreiner Women's Soccer, a junior goalkeeper from San Antonio, Texas, has been named the SCAC Women's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week for games played from Monday, September 19th through Sunday, September 25th.

"Rivera stood strong in net for Schreiner over the weekend, posting a pair of shutouts, leading the Mountaineers to a 1-0-1 record in a pair of SCAC contests last week. On Friday, Rivera corralled five saves in a 2-0 win over Centenary. The win marked the first SCAC victory for Schreiner since the 2019 season. Rivera returned on Sunday to make two more saves in a 0-0 draw against St. Thomas. In total, Rivera made seven saves to help Schreiner post back-to-back shutouts for the first time since October 2017."
