KERRVILLE, TX: The Schreiner University Volleyball team lost their match against McMurry University this afternoon 3-2.
The Mountaineers hit the road this weekend to take on the Warhawks from McMurry University out in Abilene, Texas. After a close back and forth between both teams, it was McMurry who would end up on top, winning the match in the 5th set and defeating Schreiner 3-2.
Despite the loss, it was still a strong performance by senior, Brooke Byer, who lead the team with 12 kills on 40 total attacks. Also with a strong performance was freshman, Jenna Palomarez, who lead the team with 29 digs.
Up next, the Mountaineers will remain on the road as they head to Shreveport, Louisiana, to take on the University of Dallas in a conference neutral site match on September 24th, at 11:00 AM.
