KERRVILLE, TX: The Schreiner University Men's Soccer team lost their match against Howard Payne University 1-0.
The Mountaineers had a hard fought match on the road as they traveled to Brownwood, Texas, to take on the Yellow Jackets of Howard Payne University. An early goal scored by Howard Payne in the first 2 minutes of the match gave the Yellow Jackets a lead that they would end up holding on to for the remainder of the match.
Despite the loss, it was still a very strong performance in goal by sophomore, Kameryn Roehrig, who finished with 7 saves on 8 shots on goal.
Up next, the Schreiner Men's Soccer team will look to quickly bounce back as they take on Sul Ross State University at home on September 18th, at 1:00 PM
