Reygan Rodriguez Earns SCAC Women's Golfer of the Week

Reygan Rodriguez, a junior from Odessa, Texas, has been selected the SCAC Women's Golfer-of-the-Week for competition played through September 18th. Rodriguez finished in a tie for second out of 45 total golfers at the Rockwind Links Invitational with a 36-hole score of 156 (81-75) on the par-72, 6,015-yard Rockwind Championship Course in Hobbs, N.M. Rodriguez also led the Mountaineers to a second-place finish out of nine teams with a two-round score of 651 (333-318).

Schreiner paced SCAC squads at the event hosted by McMurry University in Hobbs, N.M. after posting a 54-hole team score of 651 (333-318) to finish in second. Hardin-Simmons took home the team title, edging the Mountaineers by nine-strokes with a total of 642. Southwestern finished fourth, carding a team total of 667 (335-332) and Texas Lutheran in seventh with 701 strokes.

Individually, Schreiner was led by junior Reygan Rodriguez who finished in a two-tie for second following rounds of 81 and 75 for a two-day total of 156. Overall, the Mountaineers placed three golfers in the top-10 as senior Piper Gleadhill finished tied for seventh (164) and junior Katelyn Smith finished tied for 10th (165).
