Before coming to Schreiner, Damian Giles was the Assistant Coach for the Shotgun Sports Program at Lindenwood University for four years. “I am excited for this move to Athletics, not only for the new group of young men and women that I will get to work with and the University, but our sport as a whole. There has been a lot of hard work put in by great people all over the country in the name of Shotgun Sports at the Collegiate level since I have been involved over the past 10 years and I am grateful for the opportunity to continue to give back to the sport and lead a great group of student athletes.”

Giles is originally a native of western Nebraska graduating from North Platte and earning his associates in Automotive Body Technology at Mid-Plains Community College. Before he took the job at Lindenwood he competed for Fort Hays State University (Hays, KS) 2009-2013 earning his bachelor’s degree in Justice Studies and 2013-2015 working on his Master’s degree in Organizational Leadership. While he was with the Tigers, he was named an NRA All-American 4 times, 2-time ACUI Combine American Events Champion and in 2013 was the first Athlete to win it with a perfect 200. In 2012 he was also the ACUI Men’s American Trap Champion to name a few. Also during his time at FHSU he helped lead the Tigers to Two Division 2 National Championships (13,14) and two Division 2 Runner Up National Titles (12,15).
