SAVANNAH, GA: 10 members of the Mountaineer Shotgun team traveled to Savannah, GA over the weekend to compete in the ACUI Lower East Coast Conference Championships and claimed the High Over All title as well as winning the Sporting Clays and Super Sporting title. Freshman Jacob Cameron and junior Jonathan Goedrich finished 2nd and 3rd, respectively in Super Sporting, after competing against athletes from Virginia Tech, Florida State and Clemson along with many more. Other Top 10 finishers of the match were junior Jonathan Goedrich who finished 2nd breaking 333/350 targets and freshman Jacob Cameron and junior Tyler Birkner were tied for 7th and 8th with 330/350 targets.
The team claimed 1st Place team in Sporting Clays breaking 485 out of 500 targets, team members Jonathan Goedrich – 98, Tyler Birkner – 98, Garrett LeJeune – 97, Grady Reynolds – 96 and Ryland Downs – 96.
Super Sporting 1st Place team breaking 226 out of 250 targets, team members: Jacob Cameron - 46, Jonathan Goedrich – 46, David Thode – 45, Tyler Birkner – 45 and Brandon Miller – 44.
