Freshman pitcher, Kaylee Culpepper and senior, short stop Alyssa Maki earned SCAC Softball Pitcher and Player of the Week for their performance against Austin College last weekend.

"Freshman Pitcher, Kaylee Culpepper earned SCAC Pitcher of the Week! "Culpepper was phenomenal in the circle last weekend for the Mountaineers making three appearances and posting a 3-0 record including her first career no-hitter in game four of the series sweep against Austin College last weekend. In total, Culpepper allowed just three hits in 11.2 innings of work, zero earned runs and struck out 11 batters."

"Maki continued her outstanding season, leading the Mountaineers in a sweep of Austin College last weekend and extending the Schreiner win streak to eight, the longest in the SCAC era in program history. Maki batted .615, pounding out eight hits, seven RBI, seven runs scored, four stolen bases and a slugging percentage of 1.000."
