Men's Track & Field Opens First NCAA DIII Season at HSU Invitational

ABILENE, TX: The Men's Track & Field Team opened their season at the Hardin-Simmons Early Season Invitational in Abilene, Texas on Saturday. This was the team's first time competing as an official Division III team.

Ian Martinez placed 9th in the 100 with a time of 11.00, he also placed 21 in the 200 with a time of 27.08.
Patrick Ordeneaux placed 24th in the 100 with a time of 11.99, he also placed 10th in the Long Jump at 4.74 m.
Remington Shappa placed 19th in the 200 with a time of 25.51.
Matthew Wilding placed 6th in the 400 with a time of 57.58. 
Joseph Harben placed 13th in the 800 with a time of 2:16.63.
Joseph Diaz placed 18th in the 1500 with a time of 5:08.10, he also placed 17th in the 5000.
Carlos Escobedo placed 7th in the 400 Hurdles with a time of 1:07.30. 
Schreiner placed 5th in the 4x400
Kevin Escalera placed 9th in the Long Jump at 4.88 m.
Joshua Hollis-Roberts placed 6th in the Hammer Throw at 31.10 m.
