Men's Basketball Wins at Home Against Hardin-Simmons

KERRVILLE, Texas: The Men's Basketball team hosted Hardin-Simmons on Thursday evening for a non-conference game. The Mountaineers defeated the Cowboys 80-69.

SCORING: Junior, Paul Wells was the leading scorer of the game with 18 points. Sophomore, Matthew Rindahl contributed 14 points for the Mountaineers. Schreiner outshot the Cowboys 30-62 compared to HSU's 21-57 from the field. The team is now 3-6 on the season and 0-1 in the SCAC.

UP NEXT: The Men's Basketball team will host McMurry on Friday at 4:00 PM for a non-conference game. The team will continue conference play on December 29th against Johnson & Wales (CO.) in Denver, Colorado at 4:00 PM.

BELTON, Texas: The Women's Basketball team traveled to Belton, Texas for their last game before Christmas. The Mountaineers faced a 48-82 loss to the Crusaders.

SCORING: Both, graduate student, Kendall Dyal and freshman, Miranda Vallejo scored 11 points for Schreiner. Schreiner hit 8-19 compared to 5-19 from UMHB from three-point range. The team is now 0-10 on the season and 0-1 in the SCAC.

UP NEXT: The Women's Basketball team will continue conference play in Colorado on Saturday December 29th against Johnson & Wales (CO.) and on Sunday December 30th against Colorado College. Both games will begin at 2:00 PM.
