TUCSON, AZ: The Mountaineer Baseball team split their second day at the Tucson Invitational winning the first game against St. Thomas (Minn.) 6-3 before falling 4-3.
In their 6-3 win, junior Garrett Whitely picked up the win on the mound throwing 5.1 innings, scattering 6 hits and giving up 3 runs. Josh Gilliam earned the save. Devin Hooper went 3-4, Reece Hohhertz was 2-4, Jeffery Williams was 203, and Ryan Ragle went 2-3.
