KERRVILLE, TX: Your Schreiner Mountaineers came up short in the opening game of a three-game series against Mary- Hardin Baylor. The Crusaders struck in the 1^st inning with two runs, but your Mountaineers would tie it at two in the bottom of the 4^th. The Crusaders tacked on six more runs through the latter half of the game, with your Mountaineers fighting to climb back tacking on two runs in the 8^th and 9^th innings.  The Starting pitcher for your Mountaineers was Garrett Whitley. Josh Gilliam and Miguel Quinones both has doubles, and Chance Goins turned in a multi-hit performance.
