KERRVILLE, TX: The Mountaineers hosted Centenary College for an SCAC game on Friday evening. The home contest was J.R. Alexander's Hill Country Nation Game of the Week. The Mountaineers defeated the Ladies 62-58.
SCORING: Sophomore, Sydney Williams contributed 22 points for the Mountaineers and had 14 rebounds for the team. At half-time Schreiner, was down 19-30 to the Ladies. The Mountaineers scored an impressive 28 points in the third quarter compared to Centenary's six, and with 15 more points in the final quarter, it was enough to beat Centenary's 22 fourth quarter points. Schreiner went 35% from the field and shot 25% from three-point range. The Mountaineers are now 4-16 this season and are 4-7 in the SCAC.
