Alexis Lynn enters her second year as the Head Softball Coach for Schreiner University after being named to the position in the summer of 2019.

In Coach Lynn’s first year at Schreiner the Mountaineers went 8-10 before the COVID-19 pandemic ended the spring season prematurely. With consistently starting four to five freshman and sophomore, the Mountaineers finished in the top three in many offensive categories within the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) including: 3rd in Batting Average (.327), On base Percentage (.378), and Stolen Bases (21), 2nd in Hits (177), Triples (3), RBI (95), Slugging Percentage (.445), and Total Bases (241), and 1st in Double (34), Home Runs (8), and Extra Base Hits (45). With only losing two main stays in the starting lineup, the Mountaineer Softball team is looking to have a strong 2021 season.

Prior to Schreiner, Lynn was the Assistant Coach at Marian University in Fond du Lac, WI. Each year at Marian, the Sabres qualified for the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference Tournament and making the championship game for the first time since 2008. In 2018, the Sabres were crowned NACC Regular Season Champions for the first time since joining the conference. The 79 games the program won in the three seasons Lynn was with the Sabres were the most in any three consecutive years in program history. Through the three years at Marian, Lynn coached six players to All-NACC honors, all of whom are in the top five of offensive and pitching stats in program history. In 2019, Ally Fox was named to the National Fastpitch Coaches Association 1st Team All-Region, NFCA 1st Team All-American, and was named a finalist on the NFCA Division III Player of the Year Watch List.

Lynn is a Round Rock, TX native and was a four-year student-athlete at Concordia University Texas in Austin where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics in 2014. After graduating, Lynn served as the Graduate Assistant for the softball team at CTX for two years and graduated in 2016 with her Master of Education degree. Lynn currently resides in Kerrville.
