Alexis Lynn has been Named Head Softball Coach

KERRVILLE, TX - Alexis Lynn has been named the new Head Softball Coach for Schreiner Unviersity by Director of Athletics, Bill Raleigh. Lynn comes from Marian University where she was the Assistant Coach for three years.

In her three years at Marian they qualified for the NACC Tournament each year. The 79 games the program won in the last three years are the most in any three consecutive years in program history.

"Thank you to Bill Raleigh for the opportunity to lead the Softball program at Schreiner University. The support from the Athletics Department and the University as a whole made Schreiner feel like home. I am excited to coach a smart and talented group of women and look forward to using my knowledge to lead the team on and off the field" said Lynn. "I hope to use my unique perspective to lead the team to a strong standing in the SCAC."

Alexis was a four-year student-athlete for the Concordia Tornados and then served as a graduate assistant for two years. Lynn's primary responsibilities were coaching the newly-formed junior varsity team, recruiting and assisting in the development of outfielders.

Lynn, a Round Rock, Texas native, was a two-time American Southwest Conference Spring Academic Honor Roll selection and 2012 National Fastpitch Coaches Association Scholar-Athlete Team honoree. She earned a bachelor's degree in mathematics in 2014 and a master's degree in education in 2016, both from CTX.
