KERRVILLE, TX: The Schreiner University Men's Soccer team lost their road non-conference match against LeTourneau University 2-0.
The Mountaineers traveled to Longview, Texas, for their non-conference matchup against the Yellow Jackets from LeTourneau Univesity.
After a clean first half of play in which the Mountaineers out-shot the Yellow Jackets 7 to 6, the match went into halftime tied at 0-0 with neither side able to put a goal on the scoreboard.
However, LeTourneau opened up the second half with more intensity as they scored the first goal of the day in the 52nd minute of play to take a 1-0 lead over Schreiner. Then, with the Mountaineers unable to answer throughout the second half, Letourneau closed out the match with one more goal scored in the 85th minute, bringing the match to a conclusion with a final score of 2-0 in favor of the Yellow Jackets.
