KERRVILLE, TX: The Schreiner University Men's Golf team finished in 3rd place at the Bulldog Fall Invitational, hosted by Redlands University.
It was a very strong showing by the Schreiner Men's Golf team out in Redlands, California, this weekend as the Mountaineers battled hard and put togeher a 3rd place team finish out on the road. After three rounds of play, the Mountaineers would miss out on a 1st place team finish by just 2 strokes.
As a team, Schreiner finished ahead of 11 other schools and put together an impressive total score of 845.
On the individual level, the top finishers for the Mountaineers were Zhao Yung Gu who tied for 8th with a total score of 210, Evan Perez who also tied for 8th with a total score of 210, and Jake Sitterle who finished 10th with a total score of 211.
All around, it was an exciting performance by the Mountaineers who will now look to make waves in the SCAC as they return home to Texas for their next competition, the Alamo City Championship, hosted by Trinity University (SCAC), on October 9th.
