Alyssa Taramona Named Head Women's Soccer Coach

KERRVILLE, TX - Director of Athletics, Bill Raleigh is pleased to announce that Alyssa Taramona has been named the new Head Women's Soccer Coach for Schreiner University. 

Coach Taramona comes to Schreiner from the St. Mary's women's soccer program where she served as the Assistant Coach for the for the past 2 years. In addition to her experience as a coach at the collegiate level, she has had experience as a high school head coach and experience club and camp programs in the San Antonio area. Taramona played college soccer for St. Mary's starting all four years and holds school records for career saves, saves in a season, and career minutes played. She earned a bachelor's of art in exercise and sports science as well as a master's in educational leadership, both from St. Mary's.

"I would like to thank Bill Raleigh and all of Schreiner Athletics for the opportunity to join the Mountaineer family. I would also like to thank Corwyn Ritch for providing ample opportunities for learning and growth over the past three years in order to be prepared for this next step in my career. I am blessed and excited to lead this group of women to more success both on and off the field," said Taramona.
